In September, our family went on a two week road trip. Since living in Florida, our vacations are usually either to California to visit family and friends, or to our timeshare resort in Daytona Beach. We have always talked about going on a road trip with the kids and finally felt they were all at a good age to all go without it being too difficult (we were right). We first visited some friends in North Carolina (the Germeroths who used to go to church here), then went to Pennsylvania and stayed with the Morrises. Joel has known Jody and Belinda longer than me. We spent Sam's 14th birthday in Gettysburg. He and Joel are history buffs and enjoyed that aspect of it; I loved how beautiful it was and the nice weather. We then went to Washington DC and spent two days visiting museums. That was an incredible experience! Ben could have spent hours in the gems and minerals exhibit at the Natural History Museum, and Joel and Sam could have spent so much more time in the US History Museum. After DC, we headed back to Florida and spent a couple of nights in Daytona Beach. We found out my dad and Barbara were in Florida and they invited us to spend a night with them at a Disney resort in Vero Beach. Needless to say, we had a full and fun vacation.
Nate said he feels "important" in this photo 😊
